Shipping Warehouse Assistant – Full Time

A Shipping Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations by preparing and packing outgoing orders. This role ensures products are accurately picked, packaged, labeled, and shipped on time while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders according to shipping instructions.
  • Prepare shipments by labeling, wrapping, and documenting packages.
  • Verify items, quantities, and product codes before shipping.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified).
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory systems.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment when needed.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Typical Day-to-Day Functions

  • Review and organize orders for the day.
  • Print shipping labels.
  • Pick the correct product, quantity, and SKU number.
  • Box item(s) to prepare for shipping.
  • Pick, pack, and relieve items in the system.
  • Place packages in the proper shipping area.
  • Report low stock, damaged items, or discrepancies.
  • Return unused items to the proper warehouse location.
  • Keep packing stations clean and stocked with supplies.
  • Organize boxes, labels, tape, and packing materials.
  • Follow safety procedures and warehouse guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and personnel skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and adapt to change.
  • Detail Oriented to verify accuracy of shipments
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with inventory systems
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and dust
  • Prior LTL and FTL shipping knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements preferred

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 6pm, overtime as scheduled

$19/hr. D.O.E.
